In addition to the Inner Harbour and Fisherman’s Wharf, here are some fun things to do in Victoria during your stay!

From the breathtaking Butchart Gardens and Beacon Hill Park to the lively Inner Harbour, cozy independent coffee shops and charming stores, you’ll have a blast wandering and exploring.
For downtown Victoria shopping, there are just as many great street storefronts as there are in the more traditional Bay Centre Shopping Mall–but also be sure to check out Market Square, a collection of boutiques and cafes housed in historic brick buildings.
For Victoria BC restaurants downtown, the front desk can help! Just tell us what you’re in the mood for, Sleek and upscale, cozy and casual, family-friendly, intimate and candle-lit, urban and speakeasy-feeling, British and pubby (that one happens to be located right here at the hotel)… there are culinary options for every palate.

Butchart Gardens is about a half-hour drive from downtown Victoria but the extra travel is well worth it. This designated National Historic Site of Canada welcomes more than 1 million visitors annually and is home to 55 acres of stunning, colourful gardens to meander through. It’s a must-see attraction when you are visiting Victoria, BC.

Another great day-trip is the Victoria Butterfly Gardens, which houses much more than beautiful butterflies: Try frogs, tortoises, large iguanas, flamingos, tropical ducks, free-flying tropical birds and more. It’s about 20 minutes by car from downtown Victoria, in the Brentwood Bay area.
A day in the park is anything but average at Beacon Hill Park, a gorgeous 200-acre urban green space you can walk to from our hotel. A portion of the park runs along the coast line, so keep an eye out for kite enthusiasts, paragliders and sailboarders. You’ll also find 2 playgrounds, a rose garden, sports fields, public washrooms and the Beacon Hill Children’s Farm, among other attractions and highlights.

When people talk about incredible Vancouver whale watch experiences, it’s likely they actually meant Victoria–it’s possible to spot whales in the Salish Sea or Haro Strait off the coast of Victoria any time of year, but during peak whale watching season between May and October, you have a 95% chance of catching resident Orca, transient Orca and humpbacks.
Our front desk staff can help you arrange a whale-watching tour any time of year.

With so much so to see, here are the Coles notes on the city’s cultural highlights:
