3 Grande Prairie Concerts in March Not to Miss

Alberta is well-known for its thriving music scene, with the province filled with local talent and also being a popular stop for touring artists. This March is no exception, with an exciting lineup of musicians hitting the stage right here in Grande Prairie.
Alan Doyle
Alan Doyle, perhaps best known as the lead singer of the folk-rock band Great Big Sea, is performing at the Grande Prairie Live Theatre on March 4. The Newfoundland musician is on the road for the Rough Side Out tour in support of his new album of the same name. It’s the most extensive tour he has ever launched and the show will feature brand new music, as well as plenty of classic GBS favourites. Country music artist Kelly Prescott is opening.
Brad Paisley
The American country music superstar stops in at Revolution Place on March 9 on his 2020 World Tour. Brad Paisley’s latest album is 2017’s Love and War, and he released the single “Alive Right Now” last year. His playful style and virtuosity guitar skills have earned him multiple Grammy Awards, as well as country music's top achievement: becoming a member of the Grand Ole Opry.
The Slocan Ramblers
The Slocan Ramblers are performing at Grande Prairie Live Theatre on March 15. The Canadian band has a reputation for seriously energetic live shows, anchored by their fantastic musicianship that highlights their fusion of bluegrass, old-time, and folk. Their latest album, 2018’s Queen City Jubilee, was nominated for Traditional Roots Album of the Year at the 2019 Juno Awards.
